The Smart Energy Design Center (SEDAC) provides advice and analyses enabling facilities in the State of Illinois to increase their profitability through the efficient use of energy resources. The free technical services can identify opportunities for energy savings through intelligent building design and efficient building components and systems.

Qualified individuals must have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture.  We are also looking for graduate students in Architecture or Engineering.

Desirable experience/skills:
• Energy conservation, thermodynamics, energy systems.
• Sustainable materials and systems.
• Trane Trace, Energy Plus, DOE-2 and BLAST simulation programs.
• Life Cycle Cost Analysis and report writing.
