The Smart Energy Design Assistance Center (SEDAC) provides advice and analyses enabling private and public facilities in the State of Illinois to increase their economic viability through the efficient use of energy resources.

Energy Assessments are funded through Illinois Energy Efficiency Portfolio Standard (EEPS) and are free of charge for business and public sector customers in the Ameren, ComEd, Nicor Gas, North Shore Gas, and Peoples Gas utility service areas.
Public Sector customers in ComEd and Ameren Illinois Utilities service territory, including units of local government, K-12 school districts, community colleges, public universities and state buildings.
Public Sector customers in Ameren Illinois or ComEd electric service territory, including units of local government, K-12 school districts, community colleges, public universities and state buildings. Entities receiving natural gas from Ameren Illinois, Nicor, North Shore or Peoples, may also be eligible for inclusion of natural gas savings measures.
Eligibility is limited to applicants that manage public housing authorities located in the State of Illinois. In addition, public housing authorities to which funding can be applied must receive electric delivery services from Ameren Illinois, ComEd, and/or natural gas services from Ameren Illnois, Nicor, Peoples, or North Shore.
